I recently completed my Certificate IV Personal Training Course with Human Performance Centre. I can not recommend this course highly enough.
Having been a Medical Practitioner for 19 years, I found this Course a breath of fresh air. It was well structured and was the perfect mix of good science, professional/highly educational presentations and hands on coaching in the Gym and Group Fitness activities on the Beach. Greg Tottman brings extensive experience and practical knowledge gained from many years as a Professional Athlete, Boxer, track Sprinter, Bodybuilder (incl Mr. Australia) and specialist consulting for elite Athletes and professional Sports Teams.
He is a born teacher and imparts his knowledge in a simple practical way and with humour! The team at HPC were absolutely delightful and were always on hand to help with any questions from students. The gymnasium is purpose built solely for the course participants and is the best equipped Gym I have used. The course is not only professional and fun... it is a great life education for any one interested in health and fitness. Well done to Human Performance Centre.
Dr Martin Clark, Medical Practitioner
Doing my Certificate III & IV at HPC gave me a wealth of knowledge. The information on nutrition, supplements, correct training and recovery that GT provides, benefited me greatly with my own Training and Game Performance. I wish I had done this Course earlier in my career, for the simple fact that you are educated on what the body needs and the best training methods to get results.
Michael Hodgson, Member of The Gold Coast Titans Professional Athlete
This Course has enabled me to understand the importance of nutrition, types of training and exact accreditations to become the best Personal Trainer possible, also to increase my performance as a Professional Footballer on and off the field and fully understand the needs required to improve high level performance.
HPC has the highest level of teaching and the most state of the art gym located onsite. The class was both exciting and extremely informative and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a career in Fitness.
Daniel Conn, Member of the Gold Coast Titans & Professional Athlete
As a Professional Footballer, this Course has been extremely beneficial to me understanding and preparing for what my body requires to perform at the level it needs to as an Elite Level Athlete.
I found the Course and GT in particular insightful and entertaining. I recommend this Course to anyone looking for a Career in Fitness or anyone who is looking to learn more about the body.
Michael Henderson, Member of the Gold Coast Titans & Professional Athlete
This Course taught me a lot about my body and the way I will now train in the future. I am still a young Athlete and this course will help me long term.
The gym is second to none with specific power equipment which has helped me in my training. I have enjoyed my time here and highly recommend the course to anyone out there who wants a career in fitness or wants to learn more about the body.
Brett Delaney, Member of the Gold Coast Titans & Professional Athlete
" On arrival in Australia I wasnt really sure where my career was going after being a full time athlete for over 10 years.. But on meeting GT and enrolling in his course i knew what I wanted to do. I learnt so much more than I ever had during my years in the pool and knew I wanted to pass that new found knowledge on to others the best way I knew how. I have found a new hunger to achieve and be the best i can be.
The course was so easy to understand and GT has a great way of explaining things to make sure everyone understands before moving forward. The whole team at HPC really made me feel welcome and there was always smile as you came through the door. I am so grateful to be part of the family and be able to have my own franchise down in Canberra to spread the HPC name and also develop my own career.
Gregor Tait
2004, 2008 Olympian, 2006 Commonwealth Games Champion 200 Back & 200 Individual Medley.
As an athlete I have experienced countless training techniques and coaching methods from all over the world. I can honestly say that if I knew what I know now after completing the Certificate III and IV in fitness through HPC I firmly believe my performances in the pool would have dramatically improved.
The delivery method is second to none. The instructors at HPC are gifted in their ability to take challenging subjects and deliver them in a common sense type manner making it easy for everyone to understand and importantly, remember.
At HPC, you also get the benefit of being instructed by real athletes on real equipment that can only be learnt through practical application. This allows you to enjoy the confidence in the gym and outdoors that only a HPC qualified student has.
As a HPC graduate, I am currently enjoying a successful career as a Human Performance Trainer based at HPC and look forward to continuing to live the lifestyle that comes with it.

Firstly I would like to thank you for offering me the opportunity to sit the advanced nutrition program. I found it very informative and just exactly what is needed for personal trainers in the industry.
I found GT’s approach to teaching the 2 day program very engaging. He was able to take the complexity of nutrition and cut it back to basics for everyone to understand. You would not even need to be a personal trainer to get great benefits from sitting the program. GT showed great passion for ensuring everyone was able to grasp the concepts and put in simple methods to ensure that you and your clients were on track with their nutrition.
With nutrition playing a key component to getting results with clients in personal training I would recommend that each trainer looking to give their clients a great opportunity at success would sit the 2 day program of advanced nutrition at HPC to gain the confidence and expertise to best help their clients. In my experience as a trainer and a Personal training manager, nutrition is something that a lot of trainers lack the knowledge and confidence in expressing the right information to their clients. The program of advanced nutrition at HPC ensures that you have the confidence and expertise to best help your client towards their goals.
Thanks to the team at HPC,
Ben Richards

After nine years of AFL I retired from the sport that I love so much and wanted to keep myself active. I rang around a few places enquiring about becoming a personal trainer and came across HPC. I was immediately impressed by the professional fit out of the centre and Greg's knowledge of the fitness industry.
I have been involved with many professional organizations over the years and would definitely rate HPC up there as one of the best. The course was professionally run and included both theory and practical components. I would highly recommend this course to anybody wanting a career in fitness.
I loved every miniute of it!
Trent Knobel, Former Brisbane Lions and Richmond Ruckman
I am proud of being part of the HPC family after I completed my course. The amount of information and knowledge I gained my course is comparable for what I have learned in my 3 year degree as an Exercise Science student at University.
I learnt that it is a great responsibility to take on clients and teaching them proper technique and exuection, writing specific excercise programs whether they want to gain mass or lose weight.
Learning the correct anatomy and biomechanics put in a simple and understandable way, made the course fly by. HPC also covers the nutritional side for the general public and also on supplementation for advanced athletes. Most of all, the hands on practical part and how to communicate with clients is only one part that University doesn't teach you, but HPC makes sure you are confident in.
I can't thank HPC enough for the great ongoing support and encouragement they have been giving me throughout the course. I was impressed with the feedback and the practical side of the course, where we actually put ourselves through every trianing session, from boot camp to boxing, so that we get an appreciation of what clients will go through. My time spent at HPC is of great value and I will bring it with me wherever I go in my future endeavours.
I recommend HPC to anyone who is interested in becoming serious about their Fitness Education and want to take their knowledge to the next level.
Susanna Mihalik, BA of Ex Sc & Certificate IV Personal Trainer
Well, I've finally done it, at long last. After 21 years of living and breathing what has become to be known as the "fitness industry", I have enrolled in and completed a Certificate III and IV in fitness.
Why has it taken me so long, you may ask. Well, I have been around a long time and I believe credibility in this industry has to be earned, not learned. There was no way I was going to sit in a class room and pay an inordinate amount of money for some "book learned" person to tell me how to train someone. After all I have forgotten more things than most people know about training, fitness and diet.
Among my clients are four personal trainers that were "trained" (for want of a better word) by another organisation. They gained limited knowledge from their courses, so little in fact that I re-wrote everything they believed about diet and training. One of them has gone on to become a queensland champion in her sport with my guidance. I know first hand how limited the knowledge base is at those other courses.
What I wanted was to learn from someone who could "walk the walk" as good as they could "talk the talk". Also, I come from a science background and I want up to date, cutting edge information that is going to set me apart from the rest.
Word soon spread that Greg Tottman (GT) had opened Human Performance Centre. My interest was piqued. Then slowly I started hearing from "old timers" in the industry who had finally plucked up the courage to get certified and they raved about GT and the course.
Before long I found myself in the front row of the class pen in hand. I couldn't believe the awesome information GT was providing to the class. Information I charge my clients hundreds of dollars for! the students were getting knowledge gleaned from two decades of trial and error, scientific research and real life experience. There were facts, backed up by hard data and real results in real athletes.
I filled a whole spiral bound notebook of ideas and concepts that I stole from Greg. (thanks GT).
If you are considering a career in fitness and you want to be taken seriously, then you have no other choice than to sign up with Human Performance Centre. If you are an athlete and you want an edge over your competition or to improve your performance you should come along too. The course is that good.
I can see a point in the not too distant future were there is going to be two classes of Personal Trainers - those graduated from Human Performance Centre and "all the rest". If I was a client and I wanted results, I know who I'd choose.

As a multiple Australian Ironman and Olympic Swimmer, it is important for me to get the right training and dietary advice to ensure that I can be at my competitive best.
GT's guidance, advice and support has helped me to improve my overall strength and ensured my diet was sufficient to gain physical and mental improvements necessary to be the best. GT is an exceptionally knowledgeable bloke when it comes to the human body and peak athletic performance - he is definitely the man to speak to when it comes to anything Health & Fitness.
Ky Hurst, Champion Australian Ironman
What personal success I would have achieved if only I knew then what I know now. These were the first thoughts to run through my mind after enrolling in their Personal Trainer course with the team at Human Performance Centre (HPC) Miami.
Competing at elite levels in various sports, I found myself constantly falling short of goals. After years of competing it became evident I may not reach them, it took me three knee operations, several broken bones, drastic changes in lifestyle (diet, training, supplements) being overlooked by people I thought knew how to do it, and still no success.
I turned to university believing that they would easily satisfy my thirst for knowledge and success, and yet still fell short.
Scrolling through google one day I came across HPC - Do you want a Career in Fitness??, instantly I was intriged as it quoted "be trained by real athletes". The team at HPC came across professional, confident and delivered a first class training course.
Come in and experience the satisfaction for yourself. HPC's holistic approach, diagnostic skills and depth of training specifics / tips shocked me and I urge anyone interested in a career in fitness to look no further than the team at HPC, your only weeks away from success, whats your excuse?
Ashley McMillan, Ex Professional Footballer
Greg Young director at Body Science was the first to enrol in Greg Tottman's (GT) course. "I have known GT for a few years now & together we have worked on many elite athletes and their nutrition. When he asked me to do the course I didnt even think about it - I enrolled.
GT is one of the most interesting people to talk to in sports science, his course is PT, nutrition and elite athlete DRIVEN, opening up more opportunites than a regular course. I have no problem in recommending GT as an exciting alternative to someone looking to get into the fitness industry or for an athlete who wants to know more about the mechanics of the body."

As a professional Boxer and Coach I have always been a little astounded as to how a lot of Personal Trainers train their clients when using boxing methods. I always wondered who trained these people. Their methods as I have seen are often a sure ingredient for injuries. I decided to further my studies through Human Performance Centre and boy was I glad I did. I have learnt so much about training, including boxing instruction! and i have been in this game for over 15 years now.
I now have a totally different approach regarding training for my sport as well as learning the tremendous benefits of the right nutrition program. I have and still am improving out of sight even after all this time. I even got to train every day in their training facilities for free, how goods that.
I thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who wants a start in the fitness industry. I left the course confident and straight away started taking on clients. The team at HPC are great and the instruction was just sensational, I had a ball doing it and enjoyed every minute. Thanks guys
Craig McFadden, Professional Boxer
I have to say with out a doubt that this course was way above what I expected. It was just sensational! I had an absolute ball doing it and in fact I am a little lost now on weekends as I was so looking forward to each weekend while the course was on. I haven't laughed so much in years and I can tell you we learnt heaps. I have been training for some time now and still got taught heaps.
GT's knowledge base and skill level was far superior than I expected. He knows his stuff and has a way of teaching that is not only fun you actually get it! and put it into practice. I loved every minute of it.
I learnt sprinting, agility training, beach training heck all of it I loved. I thoroughly recommend this course to anyone thinking of becoming a PT. HPC is the place to go! Just one look at their facilities says it all. Do yourself a favour and enrol, you'll love it just as much as I did and have a great qualification and career path.
Michael Galley, Personal Trainer
I had been searching for the right course in health and fitness for about 18 months with no success. Other courses could all give me the cert iii and iv but none really convinced me I wouldn’t be just reading from text books.
I came across HPC and was immediately drawn to the centre after talking with GT. He spent a fair bit of time going through the course structure and answered all my questions straight up. I felt confident that the training I was going to get would be first class and hands on.
To be taught by an athlete who has so much experience in so many areas was a big advantage. I learnt and experienced so much more than I thought I would. GT and Kylie have given me the confidence to become the trainer I really want to be, and to have the lifestyle I want to have. If you have the desire, HPC has the course.
Brigitte Broad, MIH
"The courses at Human Performance Centre provide a great combination of theory and practical experience. The facilities for students are first-class, lessons are taught in a fun, easy-to-understand and motivational manner, and the practical sessions provide you with the tools and techniques to train people of all ages and abilities.
All in all you are provided with the knowledge, the experience and the training to become a leading fitness professional.
There is no one better or more equipped than GT, the director of HPC, who provides years of industry experience, an amazing knowledge of health and fitness and an absolutely inspiring passion to teach others. The staff and High Performance Trainers are a wonderful, highly-qualified and enthusiastic team always willing to lend a hand and support you where required.
I have never enjoyed learning more than at HPC."

"Signing up for nine consecutive weekends when I was already working five days a week was a daunting prospect. No time off for nine weeks. But on the last day, after Greg had treated us to a farewell lunch, it seemed no-one wanted to go home.
Such was the impact that the HPC Cert III and Cert IV course had on the participants.
Not only was I coming out of it with the qualifications to be a gym instructor, a personal trainer and a boxing instructor, my weekends had turned into a semi-social event. I’d met some really nice people and the guys and girls on the course had integrated so well and we’d all had a great time learning from each other.
Greg Tottman knows his trade, and he knows it well. He has a no-nonsense approach to teaching and makes it a pleasurable experience. He has a great balance of classroom teaching interspersed with gym sessions, so there’s never any chance of getting bored, and the days just seem to fly by.
He backs everything with scientific fact. The outdoor fitness sessions at the beach and at the park are something else. I never thought I could have so much fun half killing myself!
Greg’s professionalism comes through too at these sessions. He has a knack of learning very quickly the limits and level of fitness of each individual, and will pair and group accordingly. No-one need have any fear of being made to look lesser than someone else, and Greg reserves his best compliments for those who try hard but not necessarily succeed.
Greg has two enduring qualities which I rate very highly, total professionalism and high self-discipline.
This he balances with great humour, fabulous anecdotes and brilliant one-liners. At times he had us cracking up. He’s rubbed shoulders with some of the all-time greats of the world sporting arena, and is happy to pass on what he has learnt from them.
With the beautiful Kylie at his side being utilised to demonstrate machines, weights and techniques, the HPC team is the best, and having done extensive research before deciding which training establishment I went with, I am pleased to say that I made the right choice and the course fee was one of the best investments I have ever made."
